Boat insurance in Miami-Dade: Biscayne Bay, hurricanes, and agreed value

A Palmetto Bay canal boat and a Biscayne center console are not HO-3 property. Homeowners watercraft liability is small and picky. Boat insurance is hull, liability, uninsured watercraft, and a hurricane plan — haul-out, named-storm deductibles, and whether the marina’s contract already shifted risk.

What the house policy will not do

Length, horsepower, and use kick boats off the HO-3 fast. Theft of a trailer on US-1 is often the auto or a trailer schedule. The hull on the water wants a marine form.

Agreed value vs. ACV hull

Agreed value is the daylight number. ACV after a total in a named storm is a fight. Photos, survey, and a realistic value bind. Dream values do not.

Hurricanes and haul-out

Some forms credit a documented haul-out plan. Leaving the boat on a lift in a surge zone is a decision. Comprehensive and named-storm deductibles are percentage math, like houses.

How we quote watercraft

Year, length, HP, where it sleeps, towing vehicle, and whether it is a weekend Palmetto boat or a charter story. Charter is commercial. Start a collectible or liability quote and say boat in the notes.
